Tenant Extra policy

Tenant Extra policy

For Gas and Electric cooker installations, it is strongly recommended that tenants use Rent UK Property’s services. Any install completed by Rent UK Property will be covered for any long-term issues and the Company will be liable to resolve. There is a charge for this service and costings are available upon request and may vary across regions.

However, if any tenant decides to do this installation themselves then Rent UK Property will not accept any liability or damages caused because of any 3rd party engineers, tenants use. Any damages caused because of tenants using their own engineers, this will be recharged to the tenant. It is also the tenant’s responsibility to use use a certified Electrician or a qualified Gas engineer for any installations that are required at the rented property.

Before our engineers attend for the install, tenants are required to have all the necessary fittings and materials required for the install at the property. If there are any additional materials our engineers require, then there may be an extra fee added.

Tenants are required to speak to our engineers before the installation date to ensure everything is ready for the installation ahead of the engineer arriving at the property.

Any installation completed by Rent UK Property on request of any tenant as per the Tenant Extras Policy will be recharged to the tenant and payment must be in accordance with the timescale specified.

It is your responsibility as the tenant to ensure that any appliance that requires installation is up to safety standards and regulations. Engineers will only install appliances that are safe to use and in the case that an appliance has been deemed unsafe the installation will not go ahead. In this circumstance, the tenant will still be charged for the call out fee.

Prices are available upon request.
